Nikolas Busse

Nikolas Busse was born in 1969 in Switzerland and studied Political Science at the Free University Berlin. He obtained his Diploma in 1995 and his PhD in 1998 with a dissertation on security policy in Southeast Asia. He travelled to Malaysia, Singapore and Australia for study purposes and obtained scholarships from the Volkswagen Trust and from the DAAD. In November 1998 he joined the political staff of the »Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung«. There he concentrates on security policy and the development of the European Union. Since August 2007 he is correspondent for NATO and EU issues in Brussels. He is married and has one daughter.
