Yael Neeman was born in 1960 in the Kibbutz Yehiam. At the age of twenty she left the Kibbutz to study literature and philosophy in Tel Aviv. For years she worked as a newspaper editor and reader for various publishers. She published the child's book The orange Tuesday (Am Oved, 1998), the novella Rumors about Love (Katom, 2004) as well as numerous short stories and poems in the renowned literature magazine Meta'am. Her first novel We were the Future was published in 2011. Yael Neeman lives in Tel Aviv.
