Anke Schipp, born in 1966 in Mainz, studied German philology, history, drama, film and television science in Gießen and Frankfurt. During her studies she worked for Hessischer Rundfunk. After that, she studied journalism in Mainz. As of 2001, she writes for the Frankfurter Allgemeinen Sonntagszeitung in the society department. Anke Schipp is married and has two children.
