Submissions
Please study our profile, before sending us a manuscript.
We do not handle poetry, straight science fiction and shortstories, or children's books. If you would like to submit your work to the agency please send in the following:
An introductory letter - this should be dated and include your postal address and email contact details if applicable. Where appropriate you should mention any previous publications or writing experience.
A synopsis of the whole work - this must be included or we will not be able to consider the submission. In one to three pages, the synopsis should list the theme, setting, characters, and plot of your book, from the first to final chapter, and should not merely be a cover-style 'teaser' for your story.
The first three chapters of the work only. Do not include random chapters, or the full manuscript. We will ask to see the rest of the work if the initial material impresses our agents.
We ask you to please understand that we can only represent your text in an exclusive manner. Therefore, you have to inform us of all contacts to agencies or publishers you have had with your manuscript.
Every writer who submits work is advised to keep a copy of the material themselves. We cannot be responsible for material that may go missing. If you wish to have the requested material sent back, please enclose an envelope with stamps (or International Coupons if submitting from abroad) sufficient for return of the material in case we decide not to offer representation.
Owing to the volume of submissions that we receive daily we cannot guarantee a reply earlier than 8 weeks from receipt. We will give your manuscript careful consideration as soon as possible, but we are not able to give editorial feedback or detailed reasons as to why a project is not suitable for the agency.
We welcome new work, but must give first priority to the clients we already represent, so please do not be offended if you receive a standard rejection letter. An agent will have looked at your work, but due to the number of submissions we receive, we are simply not able to write individual letters in response.
