Laura Dürrschmidt was born in 1994 in Seligenstadt. She read Book Studies and British Studies in Mainz and specialised in typography. In 2020 the Junges Literaturforum Hessen-Thürigen awarded her work. Also, she attended the writing class of the Jürgen-Ponto-Foundation to work on her novel Es gibt keine Wale im Wilmersee. Laura Dürrschmidt lives in Offenbach.
