Christof Weigold was born in Mannheim in 1966 and grew up in the Rhineland and Markgräflerland. He moved to Munich and wrote a play that Tankred Dorst, among others, selected for performance at the Munich Playwright Competition and that was also performed in Sidney. He moreover wrote satires for the Süddeutsche Zeitung (Die letzte Seite).

In 1996 he joined the Harald Schmidt Show in Cologne and participated in over 600 shows as a writer and sometimes actor.

Since 2000 he has written numerous film and TV screenplays and lives as a free-lance author in Munich.
