Roger Repplinger was born in Stuttgart in 1958, studied in Tübingen and wrote a PhD in Sociology on the notion of crisis in Auguste Comte's oeuvre. Since 1982 he writes about sports for diverse daily papers in Stuttgart, nowadays also for magazines and newspapers throughout Germany. He was awarded numerous prizes.
